I thought the characters were ultra bland and 1-dimensional, except for Korra, who's actually really awesome. The story and its unfolding made no sense. Seemed infantile and without wit, unlike the masterfully planned Avatar: Last Airbender.
Hope it picks up this year.
Personally I don't really enjoy Korra (especially compared to Last Airbender), but at least it has nice fanart like yours.
