So,
Once in a while I get comments and notes about ppl "copying" my style or if I know someone who has a style similar to mine, this kind of remember me that shit about my chibi style long time ago...
That's a very... delicate situation...
Some of my friends get rlly mad that I dont do anything about it... but, actually it doesn't bother me, that much! lol
I really prefer to focus on my works and to get better than paying attention to this
but it also doesn't mean I'm okay with someone literally copying me...When I was younger I used to "copy" my favorite artists until find my own style, and that's what I try to think when the ones that are "inspired" by my style do... and I feel very honored!
Of course, I don't care if someone has similarities with my style but I will get a little upset if:
_The person does it exactly like my style;
_The person doesn't admit they are inspired by me when it's pretty clear they do;
I am not asking anyone to say "yes I'm inspired by ntdevont's works thats why it looks so alike and blahblah...", but I don't like when someone says that are similarities and the person just pretends they don't know me or even don't think my style has something related to theirs.... :/
I don't have an original style, my works look like many other artists around DA, but, I really try to make my works to have something "recognizable" for when people see this around internet they say, "that's that dude work...", the way I shade, the way i draw noses, the way I draw eyes, hair, etcetcetc... and this is sad when that thing you developed to be your own characteristic isn't your own anymore...
So, this is not a rant journal or I'm mad or anything, but, it's just that I constantly get this subject in my conversations with my friends... and I wanted to make it clear and share it with you guys :3
So, just a tip, if you really like someone's style, there's no problem about making yours similar to them, but, just don't do it exactly like their style... You don't know how good is to have your own style and be recognizable by this... xD

Besides, even if someone want to do like you, it will never be at 100%, because it's depending on your way to draw.
And I think people are already able to recognize your style, you know !

eu penso mais ou menos como você, até porque copiar o estilo de alguem que você admira é bem comum, agora quando alguem pega um desenho feito e fala que é dele o assunto ja muda.
o problema nao e a pessoa se inspirar em vc e desenhar algumas coisas "parecidas" sabe! O foda é alguem literalmente te copiar! Nos minimos detalhes coisas que vc trabalha pra ficar como seu estilo e a pessoa copia, isso me deixa puto!
